Angels and Lyres
Eyes closed
My heart ecstatic
My soul exalted
I let the angelic tremors hit me!
A smile shapes itself on my lips
How comforting
Lying on the cool and refreshing grass
With only the night air
Between me and the stars
I let myself rejoice
At the melodies played by angels!
The melodies played up there in the skies
The melodies played on those golden lyres
The melodies unheard by the whole of the human lot
But easily accessed
Simply by opening the entry points in our selves!
Why, angels playing on lyres
Are like innocence swirling and twirling
Into a typhoon
Yes, a typhoon ravaging negativity on its rampage
A typhoon providing peace and relief
A typhoon, capable to have us all
Feel the tolerance and the love of angels
As they play for us,
Seeing us, being like children
Children, fussy and selfish
Children, yet, so in need of love and attention
Children, having to be constantly monitored
As any mishap can be fatal!
Pray, angels playing on lyres
Remind me that life is yet a mystery
And bid me to feel grateful
To have been graced with an awakening
Pray, life, elsewhere is our sole aim
While, life, on Earth, is meant to be a battle
A battle with ourselves
So that we may proclaim, loud and clear
That we are among those who
Hear,
And relish
Of those melodies
That angels play to us
On their lyres
Up, in their celestial abode
Up, where life keeps its origin safe
Up, where life keeps its meaning safe
There, where we shall be,
Someday
Playing, on lyres, as well!
