Angels Among Us
Living on the edge, he searched high and low
taking his chances with the fire down below
Guided by the stars, he kept his fear at bay
he fought his demons until one day he found his way
Stuck in a living hell, she feared for her very life
wondering why she became this monster’s wife
Violently mistreated and beaten half to death
she found the courage to leave before he took her last breath
Abandoned and left all alone, never knowing why
she wondered why her Mommy and Daddy had to say goodbye
Bouncing around in Foster care in constant fear of the unknown
she was taken in by a loving family and was no longer left alone
When all seems lost, look for his guiding light
it will find you there in your darkest of nights
Some crosses are so heavy and hard to bear
but he will send his angels and show that he cares.
