Angel With Broken Wings
And she saw how good things could be
And she felt the truth of love
So even through the turmoil and pain
She always knew she'd fly again
Never giving up the fight
Always shining with such a light
Even when she felt her worse
She fought off the wretched curse
She held her children so high
Put them in sunlight and air
Let them feel forever her love and care
Gave them all of herself as she searched
For the truth she knew she'd seen
And with all the hurt she'd been through
She gained knowledge of little known truths
She gained strength she didn't know she could
have
And found hope was a well with no bottom
Courage and strength will get her through
And that hope she clings so hard to
She will find what she is looking for
As she drops those broken wings to the floor
Shoulders clear, she stretches, rolls them
Realizes she is clearly meant for so much more
