Angel Wings

The lord put upon you angel wings,
A gift used to heal people like me
The ones who can’t spell happy without giving up three letters in,
People who cannot laugh on their own
Those whose eyes may have very well shone before,
But now reflect storm clouds and heavy fog
It’s as if the universe created you for me,
moonlight's gaze set upon you like a set of stars
The sun's eyes linger, feeding the warmth inside you
The leaves change color along with your eyes, I love your eyes.
My love for you hits me like an arrow to my core
Setting alive the butterflies I have nestled in my chest,
That sting with each and every time our eyes lock.
We waltz with whimsy, through wonder and over woe
And you hold me close.
So close that two hands become one,
And my head on your chest becomes your beating heart.
