Angel of Death

I am an angel.
You may be thinking,
“What kind of angel?”
Well, I am the angel of death.
I lead broken souls,
lonely souls,
souls of the dead,
to the point of moving on.
So they are finally at peace.
It hurts me to lead these souls,
seeing the pain and loneliness,
that they went through in life.
Though, once they are moved on,
I am forever calm.
I am happy,
I am content,
that those lost souls are finally peaceful.
I am the Angel of Death,
and I help those who are lost.

Thank you, silent one! The "Angel of Death" in this poem is kind of like Charon from Greek mythology, the ferryman who leads the souls into the underworld once they enter.
