Angel

The saying, if you love someone,
You need to set them free
What it never said is, if you love you
You need to set you free
Thank you Angel for letting me be free

Saying goodbye is so very hard
For one day or a lifetime for me
A strength I never thought I had
For a moment lit a dark sky
Thank you Angel reminding me of me

I thought I had lost the ability
To allow others close to me
Afraid they see beneath the veil
One that covers only what I see
Thank you Angel for letting me be me

I commit to use this time wisely,
Respect of what has been agreed
Every moment I will try a fight
To find a way back through
Thank you Angel for being there for me
