Angel
A man who hid his pain from the world
Who gave to all
His heart and soul given to the world
The truth hidden
But chance would have that fate came
A young girl entered his life
To him she was an angel
Innocent and naive
She pictured a perfect life together
Imagined that she could heal his pain
All she needed was to give him time
Trust that he would let her be his world
Fate liked playing games
Time liked toying with her
The innocent angel soon began to shatter
Her world turned upside down
She learned words can break a heart
The pieces handed to her were hard
There were many missing
Jagged edges cut
But one phrase hurt most of all
His heart had stopped
Her heart was broke
She can't cope
To the world she lies
To herself she lies
He's become her angel
The world turn upside down
