Andy

It was terrible to learn about you dying.
Tonight billions of people are crying.
When I learned about your death, it made me feel bad.
You had a great life but your demise makes me so sad.

You were one of the greatest actors of all time.
Being robbed of your talent feels like a crime.
You were Andy Taylor and Ben Matlock as well.
There's one word that describes you and that word is swell.

(Dedicated to Andy Griffith who passed away July 3, 2012.)

Robert Pettit July 3, 2012 at 7:41 PM I had to check this one out because I wrote a dedication poem of my own. I also liked Andy Griffith as the original Pvt. Will Stockdale in "No Time For Sergeants". Good write.
