And With a Sip

The hurt, the pain were now combined. Oh love, so lost, for which she pined. A memory of sweet embrace. Forever gone, without a trace. This longing, now to be dissolved. With just a sip quickly resolved. And so the liquid death she drank. Into the deadly sleep she sank.

I was overwhelmed by the pom to the point that I saw more potential and had to write more. I could have gone on but I ran out of characters. Great job. P.S. It needs one more line to be complete.

A light appeared before her eyes And came to her as much surprise. A glow of warmth from her release Brought to her a sense of peace. Floating like a cloud aloft. She felt so good. She felt so soft. But was it really worth the trip, By ending it with just one sip? She thinks about those left behind. They're ever present on her mind. She feels their tears, she hears their cries. But now she's locked within the skies. Left to morn the ones that live She has no comfort she can give.
