And We Dance

If I die before I wake
I'll give you my last breath to take
I never made it very far
The price we paid for who we are

The past is there when we awake
It all feels like a great mistake
Standing in the light of day
The skin we cut to take away

Sometimes we pray to who we know
To find the smile we make for show
No music on the dancing floor
The boards beneath are like before

Cause nothing ever seems to change
Our dated names are sounding strange
It feels like leaving love behind
Still peaking through these window blinds

Cause no one wants for us to change
Why can't they see our burning pain?
So watch me scream as you decide
To take my hand and go outside

So what will your decision be?
Ugly truth or fantasy?
Leave behind your perfect life
And dance with me upon a knife

And we dance and dance
We dance in hell
We dance away
No lies to sell
