...And Then Came Ken...

I never wanted a barbie
I knew what that meant,

a life of social oppression
true feelings suppressed

instead I asked for a bike
to journey to ride free

I didn't want the kind of life
my mother had,
by marrying my dad
and having babies

not long after barbie,
then they brought out ken

we all know what was behind the
thinking

what social conditioning can do,
if you choose to pretend

this little girl was not pretentious
in any given way

no matter how you dressed it up

she knew what reality had to say

from snow white and the seven dwarfs
"a fairytale would have you believe that too"

my ending would've been a whole
lot different

my ending would be true-

for in life there is no handsome prince
...this happy ever after...

look at charles and lady di

a highly charged miserable life-

in death, her life revealed
pain and deep deceptive lies...

reality she does bite,
it is better to know from the get go

before anyone lays down their heart
and lets a false truth become a victims
unknown

I worked it out from an early age
life can be full of s@^t!
shallow just like a skinny blonde
doll manufactured plastic

be true to yourself, no one else
your life will be fantastic

I guarantee this to be true...
that true love, the manifestation
it all begins with you
