And the River Flows From 2007

You see me broken Softly I have spoken Words that seem to have no meaning Touch me, in this life I've got to be dreaming Because the coldness of your breath Freezes the rest Of my being that stands with a plastic smile Holding my plastic heart all the while I told you it hurt but you said it was mere words Oh, how if I could take your hurt away I would But life doesn't allow me to carry that weight So I stand in this frozen state Icicles crystallize in my mind But time sweet time is so kind And the sun will shine upon me once more And melt away my dismay on a golden shore Where icicles become tears and rivers flow

A huge amount of strength & sadness in this writing. The sacrifice, the need, the solitude. Incredibly done!

Very touching and human! We suffer dear Cindy, in the degree we do not accept reality! We have to move on. Future means looking ahead and not behind! Beautifully expressed! Thank you!
