Peering through her doorway from the outside, looking in I see stacks upon stacks of newspapers, through the darkened corridors of her dimly lit home. And the Dust Settles. Hazy sunlight filters behind her, and in between the shadows of her face She looks embarrassed. Having been caught in the act she is paralyzed by indecision while she collects, stacks, and saves. And the Dust Settles. Papers, like shaky towers Climb upward toward the ceiling. Obsessively hoarding, she must Keep them, or she might be throwing away current events, history even LIFE itself. And the Dust Settles. Written on 2/26/2015

A great piece on obsessive collecting. The image where the dust settles, after each time she adds to her collection, is so descriptive. Very well written as usual Laura. Best wishes!. *7*.

Thanks Phyllis, for your comment. Is is sad, isn't it? I lived next to a hoarder for years when I was growing up, but didn't realize the magnitude of the problem until I got older.
