And That Was That

To collude with the enemy

To compromise what is dear to me

To ignore the signs while crossing the line

Look back confused and question my rules

To follow with unease, so eager to please

Not this time, I walk tall, save all, heart, spirit, soul

Pride and dignity, retain my integrity

But then lost the chance to be...

With you
