And Still We Do Not See

What is it we long for to strive yet not grasp The teaming of images welling up from times past Often this life we’ve been given such signs To guide us our way through turbulent times God is still with us as always we’ve known He leads us our way down paths which he’s shown And continue we wander from this life in the light As if could determine wrong from the right Why do we do this when not our desire Forever our destiny grant substance to fire Why when we see what life holds in store Do we sit on our hands and do nothing more A power within us to conquer the flame Bury the ashes and will to sustain How many more chances after this time Is it weakness or strength which cobbles our minds And when is it we change to what we must be Re-write out lives to that which we see Why when most everything is so easy to grasp Are the things that we need are those we let past
