And So It Begins

And so it begins with just a little tease, Being her dear friend he invites her in. Holding hands with a smile made of grin, A fable of a boy and girl she imagines. She likes the boy for his wit and smarts. Spellbound he stays as she cogently talks Being charmed by her lively blue eyes, Eager for the hints of her subtle vibes. Soon they know how to talk with eyes Learning to decipher meaning of sighs. Decoding as well when silence speaks As fervent looks reveal contents of joy. Exploring feelings, exchanging stories Pleasure they find in secret messages, Inventing excuses to be in private places-- Rejoicing pure love in stolen virgin kisses. And so it begins innocently, unwittingly. February 10, 2019 Placed first in February 2019 week 4 contest by Brian Strand Placed 3rd:And so it begins poetry contest by Line Gauthier

So innocently and unwittingly it has begun like most of the beginnings . Time intensifies this longing for each other and ends up in a life long relationship. Really a prelude to an eventful drama.... ! Sweet penning !

A really engaging poem - young people have to experience life, and their first kiss is magic, but a first kiss when you are older is just as exciting! Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Soft sigh. You write of blue eyes. Yes, and so it begins. Perhaps you melt within the color as well?? I agree, eyes can say more than words- sometimes. This is so beautiful and romantic. Your thoughts leave me breathless. :) Brandy

What a perfect poem to read as Valentine's Day approaches, Vijay! As relationships develop, we often find we can communicate without speaking. It's like tapping into a person's consciousness and understanding everything. Excellent entry for Line's contest. Winning wishes for you, Carolyn
