and of course

Mitzy who retired the same day as me said
“One of my parents gave me two hundred dollars.”
“Great!” I replied
“Another gave me a hundred.”
This makes sense. She is a really terrific second grade teacher.
“And then, of course, we got the two hundred dollars from the PTA.”
I am sure she would not have mentioned this
if
