And Now I'M Done
In the darkness of the night
As I walk through the city,
I can see the light
And all its pitty.
As I ravel in my coat
And trip out the door,
I lie there in my coat
Broken on the floor.
With all my fury
I grab a knife;
And with the word "dearly"
I end my life.
Now as I climb the stairs
The gate is locked,
I go where no one dares
Where life is mocked.
As that once bright light
Starts to dim,
It goes back to night
And life turns grim.
And now I'm done.
