And Lead Us Not Into Temptation with Candles
And Lead Us Not Into Temptation with Candles
And lead us not into temptation with trembling lit candles burning bright,
with strange ritual we entered the stage procession of white shadows in night,
until the lady of steel extended toward us her shining hands from afar,
what strange miracle what magical illusion in the mysterious night under star,
What powerful noise what state of shock how much hidden truth now revealed,
from steel the stars poured out falling over our long hair unsealed,
the stars that lit up for us like flames of pure and cold silver light,
strange procession we advanced on stage with wonder in our large eyes bright,
The candles burned with blue light illuminating our pale faces clear,
the clothes on our bodies were heavy as falling salt stone without fear,
keeping only in image our outline in this light that glows around,
we stood in place with heavy steps of cold stone motionless on ground,
Although we all seemed to be running through the thick white fog dense,
with lit candle we walked toward the lady with steps of smoke immense,
we walked to meet the lady with hands of light so radiant and pure,
neither she could reach nor we because we were far that's for sure,
It was not possible to touch each other she had become a cosmic star,
we a handful of fine sand flowing through fingers down so far,
with candles burning in hands melted wax flowing down below,
in the procession that moves toward the lady from great distance slow,
And lead us not into the temptation of the shining powerful steel bright,
when time passes slowly when space extends in directions through the night,
when we are sand when she is star when the procession is a dream surreal,
with candles that illuminate clearly with warm flames on hands that feel,
We stood in place moving slightly through the stage in slow motion clear,
our salt clothes fall off remaining on us in shining white without fear,
our outline erased we are present in the magical procession always here,
toward the lady who offers herself in steel of constant light so near,
And lead us not into the temptation of the impossible meeting's ritual call,
when stars fall in our hair when sand becomes fine dust through it all,
when the procession advances slowly when candles burn with flames so bright,
and the cosmic lady remains at great distance forever in the light.
