And I Smile
And I Smile
The thought of you comes to mind
And I smile
As a boy you lit up my heart
And my life
You jumped into my arms
With a gleeful laugh
And I held you tight
Every morning
This passed as you became older
But the memory I carry
You were still full of life
Every day
You are now a man
To be proud of in every way
Through harsh times and good
Every year
The thought of you comes to mind

As a son you’ve warmed my heart
