And I Remember
When I hear the Red Red Wine song,
I see you with a microphone singing
this song, you sang in our family parties.
I feel your presence, like how you lighted
up and expressed your joy, happiness
every time I visited you or called you.
When I hear the Red Red Wine song,
I remember when we sang karaoke songs,
while I drank your home made margarita
and ate your home cooked dishes.
When you drove me around the city
talking, giggling, chuckling, laughing.
When I hear the Red Red Wine song
in my car radio, I smile or shed a tear
for I remember how you cared about
me and loved me unconditionally.
I remember you told me many times
how deep down you knew I love you
and how much you mean to me.
And I remember you, Mommy.
