Ancient Versing

A salutation in ancient versing
as on my knees I welcome thy presence
no longer my playful thoughts rehearsing
a moment of truth as love burns intense

I yearn for the divine wonder of thee
a beacon of love in untouched darkness
a tormented wet pebble by stormy sea
where I now wait for thy gentle caress.

My lips seek thy glory, a nectar wine
to fragrance the tendrils of my desire
come unto me with love, goddess of mine
come upon me and set my soul on fire.

Oh love, hear my pleadings with tender heart
as from thy side I’ll never depart
