Turtles seem invincible but survival rate is small Ancient and nonaggressive, least threatening of them all Alive with the dinosaurs Extinction is at the door Since I was a boy, was intrigued and enthralled

My husband once picked up a snapping turtle which my small granddaughter called “the monster turtle”. Thankfully he didn’t get hurt. Nice limerick!
