Ancient One

The ancient ones I know
have been here forever
They hurt no one
And no one they wish to control
No hell for the soul
No hell as fundamentalists know

Love is what love is
Simple as a child
running fast, running wild
Consuming all in its path
Growing and I laugh
with a laugh of love

No longer do I worry
About where I shall go
I have no tendency to believe
That the spirit is a monster
To force people into a false confession
I think it's more about life lessons

Yes, experience, the great teacher
Greater then a world of preachers
Sometimes you live and learn
Sometimes you die to find out
You have to know how to discern
while casting your bread about
