Ancestors

there are those who lived by the sides of my ever-green forests whose naked feet trudged along my endless bush-paths - there are those whose voices still mutter in tremulous sounds to unheeding sons & daughters within some grave-yards of new happiness there are those whose faces saw the twigs of today in old mud-morrow tho still going a-sorrow - these are the clan's sages who sit unseen among us like our casualties - these are the ancestors who sit unseen like us in a world of the casualties
