Anatomy Tale
Told as a joke with wisdom’s sentiment
Anatomic tale, viral that moment
Features the “I’m the best” predicament
Of hair to toe strain.
“Shake my hands for job done so very well”
“Commend the speech only my tongue can tell”
“Lavish my stomach or cry as you swell”
Oh, boasting that’s vain.
Indeed, destruction awaits dysfunction
Involving body* parts’ competition…
“I’m the greatest” is each one’s assertion
Leaves system in pain.
Now, jubilant progress is effective
As members unite through love’s directive
Settled in togetherness-perspective
Sans selfishness' stain.
Brain thinks, directed by God’s wise headship
Midst organizational leadership
Toward joyous volunteer stewardship
Letting kindness reign.
Heart beats with wondrous compassion delight
Vanquishing rumor of murmuring blight
Around fellowship marked by prayer plight
For partnership gain.
Eyes behold miracles of bright faith’s glow
Witnessing peace and goodness’ gracious glow
Vigilant watchfulness, never shallow
Smiting lies and bane.
Feet carry whole physique in reaching-out
Bringing good news of the Lord without doubt
Thus, everybody claims victorious shout…
“Let’s serve, not complain.”
*1Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
