An Unsolved Crime

An intruder murdered the dark while it slept. Dark green blood, and nightshade shadows there were. Moonlight crept through cold glass, stealthily pilfered thoughts and dreams, then it left, leaving a late dying shade. Moments later, an interrogating ray of sunlight raised a dawn alarm.
