An Unruffled Repose

An Unruffled Repose

When human instincts are being used
As a gambit over the misery of others,
When humanity is in the thickness of an eclipse,
When the earth has an apocalyptic vision of the future,
When the time has sealed all its exits
And many anguished spasmodic hearts howl fearfully,
I rolled all my strength towards an unruffled repose
From my discontent,
The unending wailful choir is sinking in the wind…
And I am bewitched by the river views,
Birds in the air,
A music I hear perfumed with intoxicating rhythms
And a passion I see glitters again
In the lover’s porcelain eyes!
