An Unheard Voice
I know this could sound quite absurd.
Do you ever feel like you're not heard?
Whilst talking, people's blank expression.
Wrapped up inside their own obsession.
Works wonders for my own depression.
A problem shared, a problem halved.
If you're not listening, don't make me laugh!
Talk right into that echo chamber.
It talks right back, whilst you remain here.
Your ignorance has so much bliss.
As words, they travel to the abyss.
As you pour out thoughts, they just nod and stare.
Lost in their minds, as if you weren’t there.
You might as well talk to yourself.
And put yourself upon that shelf.
I suppose at times, I make more sense.
Whilst you sit yourself up on that fence.
You know the one when you don't listen.
My talk is met with your derision.
When you're unheard, it does frustrate.
And sometimes has you in a state.
So time for me to emphasize.
No need for you to empathize.
An unheard voice in conversation.
Whilst looking for communication.
This unheard voice, to my surprise.
Has much to say, don't criticize.
An unheard voice should not be mocked.
Just listen up, you might be shocked.
So before these words just fly away.
There's no need for you to shy away.
Just realize you have a choice.
To listen to this unheard voice.
