An Unexpected Advocate For Christ

A great persecutor of the church was Saul,

Having innocent men, women, and children jailed and even killed.

It seemed to mater to him not at all,

Who he would punish for attempting to do God's will.

A heart of stone Saul's heart became,

He refused to believe in the teaching of Jesus Christ.

But it was on one faithful day to Damascus all of that would change,

When down from heaven around Saul God had sent a bright light.

To the ground Saul then had fallen,

He was in awe as well as in disbelief.

And then a voice to Saul began speaking,

"Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"

Not knowing the voice was that of Jesus Christ,

Saul then asked: "Who are you?"

The response that came from Christ,

" I am Jesus Christ, whom is being persecuted by you."

Jeus Christ then instructed Saul to journey on his way,

To the city of Damascus.

But during this journey God made Saul blind for three days,

Saul ate not a thing nor neither did he drink to quench his thirst.

Once Saul had arrived in Damascus,

A certain man by the name of Ananias he had met.

Saul desired so much to be baptized,

But Ananias of Saul was quite hesitate.

By God to Ananias it was explained,

How Saul was chosen by Him to be His vessel.

And to go out into all the world baring His name,

Before Gentile, kings, and the children of Isarel.

After Ananias laid his hands on Saul,

He then regained his sight and was then baptized.

After that life-changing experience Saul then became Paul,

An unexpected advocate for Jesus Christ.

Paul's story only goes to show how God is able to use us,

In being the chosen vessel to do His will.

And in going out into the world teaching and telling others about His Son,

And striving every day in doing His will.
