An Owed

A life on loan,
A life on lease.

I have a right to remain silent.

At least,
According to the police.

What if I choose to speak out loud my piece?

Do my rights remain,
Or do they cease?

To exist,
If I resist?

To be silent and refrain?

Most think what have I got to lose?
I am wondering what there is to gain?

I think, I think.....

...That I choose to speak.

If not for myself,
Than for the weary and the meek.

Don't assume that you are all
Already knowing.

Come along with me,
Let's keep the conversation going.........
