An Other Lady

A while ago a dream I had,
And since that time we've met,
Most all ways my heart's been glad,
And on that I will bet.

When your smile to me I see
I know your heart is light,
So then my face a smile be
When you are in my sight.

I never told you how I felt
When to me you came,
But with you arms 'round me like a belt,
I hope you felt the same.

So with thoughts of what could be,
I hope within my eyes you see.
