An Open Letter To Sir Depression

It took my last brain cells working together to figure out your gender. At first I honestly thought you were female considering how society says that those affected by you "are just seeking attention" , but when the sun was not shinning on my lawn you paid me a visit. It made sense for me to think you're male.I mean no offence or anything, but you are so similar to the men in my hood, you're so violent. You abuse and ask the victim to not tell anyone, that's at least until you kill them and have people protecting you because aye' "she had it coming." Whilst knowing deep down that she just wanted you to die,not her soul but if that's what it would take to get rid of you she'd do it,because you engulfed her ambition, happiness, love. You turned her into a statistic. She became depression itself.
