An Olive Branch

When did we stop
  getting each other;

Did my grief
  and your grief

Mix into
  a thief

Who stole away
  in the night

Taking everything
  that was right

About you and me

The way we could
  see and feel

My mind says
  it was real.

Don't fail me
  with rejection
  again

Dejection
  like rain

Just one more
  one more
  sandwich

Make it ham,
For the picnic.
