An Ode To Blood

Coursing through our veins
Sometimes as cold as ice
And sometimes fiery hot
But always radiating life.

Red as a poppy in a field
Or lava exploding from a volcano within.

Bitter as iron
But sweet as honey too.

As it flows, so does life too
And when it flows no more, so does life cease too.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm glad you liked it even though it is a little on the unusual side.
