An Ocean Scene

I love the ocean on a summer day The sun’s reflection dances on the waves Upon the cliffs I view across the bay As water gently glides into the caves The ocean's colours start with shallows clear The sandy browns and greens and blues I see Upon the breeze the placid waves I hear As seagulls squawk and children play with glee But then the sky turns dim and waves go CRASH! The wind whips up and seagulls all take flight The clouds above are now as grey as ash The sea begins to really show its might Yet as the sun sets I feel truly free This tranquil place is where I’m meant to be
