In the deep quietude of the dark night I embark on a tall inward journey A trip to know myself, who I`m in truth Whence sources my very root and my bones Why I`ve been dispatched to the earthly sphere What`s my goal, my final destination When the hair has turned grey and bones are lean When daily strife is no more a burden When the rising day`s orb don`t press on us When life setting sun sways not far away It is high time to scan the inner self To decipher the deep depth of the soul For the soul, immanent, immutable Knows our real roots, who we truly are Of what mix of mettle we are made of Towards which sky we are firmly heading Else we would have lost the essence of life Ignored the reality of ourselves Left unknown the purpose of our journey Hidden in the abyss of darkness This inward journey, an unending quest May exhaust the inner self for a while But at end of day, it`s worth the search For within it lies reply to who we`re What`s our goal in life, our purpose on earth So let`s tread that inward journey, though tall With open eyes and unwavering mind Embracing its beauty, dispelling fear For this journey hosts the path to the soul Treading on this journey makes us to be Feel within us a sense of happiness Experience within us a feeling of bliss And taste the vast cosmic infinity.
