An Invisible Cloak of Gratitude

Gratitude allows one to grow
Without gratitude we are lost
Within a dismal abyss below

Shedding tears we go with the flow
Without adhering to the cost
Gratitude allows one to grow

An invisible cloak; although
Having lack of gratitude we toss
Within a dismal abyss below

But, lo; there is hope as we know
Grass greener than green and moss
Gratitude allows one to grow

We rise and dispel inner foes
Inner demons colder than frost
Within a dismal abyss below

Healing and lifted to our toes
Gratitude leads a way to cross
Will gratitude allow one to grow?
Within a dismal abyss below.
