An Innocent Lie

What do you say of,
telling a beautiful lie
to each other,
and forget it, all together.

So that,
far away from today
when we won’t talk
to each other,
for one reason or another.

At some wild hour of the night,
I’ll recall it.
And a grin would come
across my face watching
the innocence and nonsense
once I possessed

Maybe it will give me the will
to give up my ego
and pick up my phone
to call you
or if it would have been too late
I’ll smile at the
Beautiful lie,
we told each other
when we were together.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
