An Image
I just saw an image
Of a face tired and distant,
The picture was framing into pieces
A piece in itself was gradually growing larger,
much larger than the one preceding that vertically.
It is getting bigger and larger and wider in size and portion.
I do not know, why it came to my mind
Could be only an imagination . It must be.
As I never witnessed it. It did not happen before my eyes .
I felt, I was watching my mother in her birth pain, in her agony
We are five in numbers, who are alive
And four others died at a very young age.
Each contraction , each pain,
made her muscle loosen a bit more.
Each birth pain made her beauty fatigued out a bit more.
And, I felt that this was a rather uncomfortable feeling
Maybe it is not supposed to be talked about.
And I uttered to myself,” This shall too pass.”
