An If and a Lie

An If and A Lie

I cant see without being blinded
Cant walk down on my knees

I can respond without a question,
So…think before you speak

I cant live-anymore
I cant give-anymore
    No matter the measure
    No matter the score
There will never be a life without an if and a lie

I cant learn if nothing ever happens
One learned mistake can take anyone captive

I cant fly without being grounded
I will never see the view from above

I cant fight-anymore
I cant write-anymore
If every life was an if and a lie
No life is lived without an if and a lie

What a lovely poem! Spectacular and mind romancing. A 7 and an excellent share

Third stanza I think you meant " I forgot what it felt like to feel". The poem itself is edgy.

Definitely was supposed to be "what" not "hat". I guess I need to spell check . Thanks for being straight up with me.
