An Ideal Father

Faithful to lead as God directs,
Fearful if failure God detects.
Alert to danger along the way,
Attentive to rightly God’s will obey.
Tearful if children go astray,
Thankful if in god’s way they stay.
Heartily encouraging through every trial,
Helpfully teaching all the while.
Eager in his duties to advance,
Engaged in righteous, faithful stance.
Reaching out to those in need,
Rightly dispensing God’s life-giving seed.
