The things we all love most in life,
Are not real things at all,
In fact we can’t even touch these things,
Or hang them off the wall,
Not a grand piano or a diamond ring,
Not a boat or bike or car,
It’s not something seen on stage,
Like some rock star’s guitar,
The things we love are deeper still,
We love peace and pride and trust,
In fact we love feeling calm and safe,
With friends that treat us just,
The things we all love most in life,
Are the abstract things we display,
They’re the honest, true and real emotions,
That we live with day to day.
