An Icy Summer

Seasons change

From winter to summer

But in my case

It’s dreaded snow every hour

Is this my fate to live

What be it be

Frozen flowers in a garden

by a glass of blue sea

Strolling in the park

No children are laughing and singing

Lovers hand in hand

No sound of music's playing

So I say to myself

What happened to me

It's like a thousand stormy winters

With no birds and the bees

And I pray and I pray

I pray and I pray

But nothing really happens

Nothing's coming my way

It’s going to be...

An Icy summer

Alone in my icy world

No April showers falling

And autumn winds don’t blow

Just another...

Icy summer

Alone with my icy soul

Where plastic trees sway statically

And nobody's loving me....

Very well written and expressed Arturo... And indeed the world can feel like a very cold place when we find ourselves alone, but their is a bright side to that too, and joy can return even under those circumstances :)

do you feel free? somersault backwards ...to when it was the best, I wonder how one could capture that again. All will come good. Believe it, it will. Got to believe in something...maybe it starts inside. x

I can't somersault backwards nor forward...Of course I not free as free be...a little resentful with myself...mainly for the things I didn't do...too smart to hurt another but too dumb when it comes to me....

I think we all fall and get stuck in this season, it makes for good poetry which is good therapy that hopefully lifts the ice and cold...good write :) hugs

I had this MONTH last month, my friend and I barely survived. "So I say to myself What happened to me It's like a thousand stormy winters With no birds and the bees" - You have to get outside in the sun for an hour a day, and you have to pursue a hobby, talent, or skill that you used to LOVE. That will help you get out of the ice.
