An English Summer
blackbirds sqwark.
hungry magpies try their luck
where pigeons coo;
children's voices echo long
on imagination's highway;
leather sounds on willow,
outfielders idly doze
spectators quietly clap ;
and sleepy snores
sounds the days away.
