An End In Sight

This next step,
fraught with danger,
takes us closer
to an end.

Each movement forward,
if taken with intention,
will carry us safely,
to our destiny.

Though beyond the horizon,
a place I’ve never been
shines clearly
in my vision.

Two wrinkled hands,
fingers entwined,
two wrinkled faces
smiling.
