An Empty Smile
I look at her smile
It is the kind you can all across her face
Her eyes twinkle and shine
Hiding a life she refuses to live
She walks away from love
Never giving anyone a chance
Never taking down the walls she has built
Those who try admire her kisses
Her sense of humor
The life they can see trying to break free
But it is all quickly hidden away
And all that’s left is an empty smile
For everyone to see
