An Empty Shell

I am walking.
Walking along a dark path,
Searching,
Where could you be?

Walking...
Concentrating on my footsteps,
1 step, 2, 3...
Fighting against the wind.

Walking...
My eyes wince at the light ahead,
A figure appears,
I feel a rush of relief.

I am running...
Calling your name,
But no sound comes from me,
I'm running in place.

You are fading...
I cry for you to stay,
Pushing my legs with all my might,
But im not moving.

You slowley dissapear,
I am screaming,
"Wait!"
You are gone.

I am falling,
You left me broken,
Taking my shattered pieces with you,
My name is all thats left behind.

Along with my empty shell

Keep up the search, for empty shells have music, and I hear it inthis poem, put the shell to your ear, take it to the next level, somewhere there is a golden stair.

The second stanza is great, gives the poem real image and motion. Love, daver
