An Empty Nest

Now that the eaglets wings are stronger
One by one they smoothly flew
Leaving you, by yourself
Standing in a four walled room
An empty nest you see

Of memories, painful and blue
As well as the cheerful ones
Surely will remind you
When you stand in your empty nest
 And see each eagle fly

It seems like yesterday
When this room is full
Child is everywhere, running and singing songs
Now you’re alone
Only the memories filled the place

A question linger in your mind
Now what’s next?
Step back and relax
And watch your eagles soar
As they start to build their nest, soon they’ll be in your place

yes it is sad, though i haven't been there yet. I just wrote this poem in my parents behalf, hehehe. I just put myself in their shoe's when all of my siblings started to have family of their own as well. I know being in that position is harder then the feeling i felt as i wrote this poem.
