An earnest entreaty
Slow down now dear, in life’s last lap
The times’ now to reclaim soul’s light
Aglow in heart by day and night
Let’s dwell in the pause, in the gap
Sans thought our ego disappears
‘Tis then presence of God appears
Between two thought forms, take a nap
Whence no longer by mind decoyed
We behold our Self, unalloyed
Know ego cravings are a trap
Seek that that does not come and go
That truth of our true Self we know
God’s bliss on tap, eagerly lap
Plunge fearlessly into embrace
Look into His eyes, face to face
Slow down now dear, in life’s last lap
Let’s dwell in the pause, in the gap
Between two thought forms, take a nap
Know ego cravings are a trap
God’s bliss on tap, eagerly lap
